Eldrick "Tiger" T. Woods

My hero is Eldrick T. Woods A.K.A Tiger Woods. He was born on Dec. 30 1975 in Southern California. His parents are Earl and Kultida Woods. His father is a retired U.S Army Lieutenant Colonel and his mother is a native from Thailand. Eldrick got the name Tiger from his father's friend in Thailand.

Tiger Woods was the youngest person to win the Masters and to win 7 majors. Tiger reached the $40 million dollar mark this year (2005). He has over 200 trophies. Tiger created a foundation called The Tiger Woods Foundation. He also takes time to help young kids out by teaching them the game. He wants the kids to stay out of trouble so that's why he teaches them the game of golf. He also wants them to play golf instead of doing drugs or drinking. He also wants the community to get involved with the children.

Tiger Woods is important to me because he is a role model to me. I think that he is an inspiration to all. I started to golf because I saw him play and win the Masters. From him I learned that if you put your mind to it you can do anything.
