History of World AIDS Day
World AIDS Day is celebrated each year on December 1st the world over.
It was established in 1988. World AIDS Day raises awareness for treatment and prevention of AIDS, it mobilizes people to unite to fight AIDS, and it commemorates the many who died due to AIDS-related disease.
