Tupac is a music hero and an artist that continues to inspire young musicians and writers
In this project, I had no problem thinking of a hero. Tupac Shakur was a big artist, one of the greatest of all time, but he was more than that to me. As a child, I listened to his music all the time. Even though he uses vulgar language, his songs create a story about life in the hood, and how tough it is for black people living in poverty. His songs like Brenda's Got a Baby and Keep Ya Head up gave insight to what goes on in the "Hood". His pain and struggle was shared through his music. Tupac also loved William Shakespeare and initially went to a performing arts school. There he was known to perform, act, and to inspire others with his twist on the art he was presenting. Tupac Shakur is a visionary; there will never be an artist like him. He's so unique and is not afraid to tell the truth. One quote of his that sticks out to me is one about life. He says " All I'm trying to do is survive and make good out of the dirty, nasty, unbelievable lifestyle that they gave me."
