AJ

by Luke from Baltimore

My brother AJ is a hero. He is a freshman in college and he loves to play sports and video games. He is always hanging out with his friends. He always tries to teach me what is right. He is always modest- he never brags, he is always helping family and friends when it is needed, and lastly if someone needs help he is never scared to do it. My brother also has been taken care of my brother and me, almost like my father.

My parents are divorced so when my father isn’t around my brother helps out when we aren’t with him. My brother is my hero because he is modest. He always is getting awards. When he gets them he just never talks about it again. One time, he got an award and he came back and acted liked nothing even happened. He sometimes wins awards for his team, and he gets home and just puts it in the closet and you never hear about it again. My brother doesn’t ever brag to people.

Along with being modest, he is very loyal because whenever he is asked to do something, he does it. When he is watching TV, my mom will ask him to take the trash out and he will stop and go do it. Next when my mom tells him to do his homework, he will. Then a friend will call and he says, “Sorry man, my mom said I have to do my homework. Maybe after I’m done.” Then when he gets a bad grade but the teacher said you don’t have to get it signed, he will show my mom anyway. My brother, most of the time, does do what he is asked

Today my brother unfortunately had to leave to go to college. He isn’t around that much to teach us anymore. That doesn’t change the way I feel about him. I love my brother very much. He is the best older brother I could ask for. I hope that he can stay the same and teach his kids and wife the same things that he taught me growing up.
