A hero is someone who puts others before themselves. Anthony Constantino is a perfect example of this. He is caring, unselfish, and hardworking. Anthony is my father and friend.

Anthony was born on February 14, 1957. His parents were Dominick and Adeline. He grew up in a small home with two brothers and a sister. He went to Regina Coeli Elementary School and graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in 1975. In 1979 he graduated from Syracuse University. Then in 1985 he married Catherine. They had four boys, Christopher, Andrew, Nicholas, and me.

Anthony always puts his family before himself. He works hard every day to support them. He often doesn’t have time to relax, from mowing the lawn, going to Boy Scouts, and helping the neighbors. Even though he doesn’t have a lot of free time he still gets evolved with his children’s activities, such as coaching sports teams, and being assistant cub master in Boy Scouts. When his mother got cancer he drove her down to New York City once a week to receive treatment.

My dad works hard every day to make my life better. He never stops and says “I don’t feel like doing this,” but does it because he knows it needs to be done. He is the hardest working person I know. I follow his example by working hard in school. I always try to do my best and get involved in extracurricular activities.

Anthony Constantino puts others before himself and I admire him for that. Every day he goes to work and I never hear him complain. Someday I wish to be as caring and generous with my family as he is with his.
