Albert Einstein

by Jason from Evergreen

Have you ever wondered how it would feel to be a misunderstood genius, well now you can find out. If you have heard the name Albert Einstein you probably think of the guy who stuck his tongue out at the paparazzi but he was so much more. This is the story of a man who changed the world.

Albert Einstein was born March 14th, 1879 in Ulm, Wurttemberg, Germany. He grew up in Milan in a Jewish family. His father founded a company called Elektrotechnische Fabrik. Einstein went to elementary school but felt controlled there and struggled because of the school's rigid working style. He did however enjoy classical music and loved playing the violin. While working as a patent officer, Einstein published a journal called the Annalen der Physik, one of the greatest science journals ever written (called his "miracle year"), which contained his four theories. The four papers focused on the photoelectric effect, Brownian motion, the theory of relativity which was his best theory published by far, and the matter and energy relationship. This took physics into an entirely new direction. In his fourth paper, Einstein came up with the equation E=mc2, which suggested that tiny particles of matter could be transformed into huge amounts of energy. This dawned a light on the idea of atomic power. His theories took the human race's knowledge in technology and understanding of science and the universe to a whole new level.

Albert Einstein was a hero because unlike Leonardo da Vinci, he showed people what he came up with if it weren't for him, we probably wouldn't know some things that we do now. He showed us that we are all made up of little pieces of matter there is more to science than physics. This man will be remembered for a very long time and will hopefully not be forgotten.
