Anne Frank

by Monica from Farmersville

My hero is Anne Frank because she is a believer. She went through a difficult time in life. Anne Frank was born in 1929-1945 she was only 15 years old when she died. It was difficult. The Nazis destroyed the homes at the time she spent there with her family and friends. The Holocaust was the worst part for Anne. She had to be taken out of school at the time. There were some obstacles to overcome at the time in her life.

Even though Anne was young, she had seen so much violence in her life during the Holocaust. The Holocaust was the scariest part from it all because the Nazis was looking for the Frank family. There were obstacles to overcome for Anne Frank. While, Europe was at World War II, Anne lost friends and loved ones in violence. Anne's words lived on until this day.

The words of Anne Frank had the power to change other people's lives. The tremendously courageous people that helped Anne were a blessing to her. Also, the book gave honesty and the very existence of hope. People at first did not understand what Anne Frank meant until the tremendous power of words. The realization on her life was a blessing.

However, The Diary of Anne Frank still goes on until this day. The last thing Anne wrote before she died was "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are good at heart". They brought the reality into the life of what actually happened during the Holocaust. During this time,Frank was surrounded by all the violence but instead of fighting back with weapons, she fought back with words. She was grateful for the help she got but she wanted people to understand the words endure that can bring change.

Although, the book will continue to live on until it just stops, people are still respecting Anne's wishes that go on living to make sure Anne's death was not in vain. The last words said from Miep Gies, the woman who helped Anne and her family, were: "I'm not a hero, I simply did what i had to do, because it was the right thing to do." The legacy of Anne Frank would go on so people would truly learn the power of words to change the world. The reason I picked Anne Frank was to learn what she been though in her life when she was young.
