Al Gore is my hero. His achievements included; having a steady life, becoming the 45th Vice President, and also he raised awareness about global warming.
Al Gore was born in March 31, 1948. Al was born to the proud mother and father, Pauline and Albert Gore. Al Gore's parents were both in the U.S. Senate. Al was in elected to the U.S. Senate in 1984. Al Gore's full name is actually Albert Gore Jr. He spent his childhood in Carthage, Tennessee, and in Washington, D.C. Al Gore attended Harvard University. Al Gore served in Vietnam after college. He is now happily married to Mary Elizabeth "Tipper" Aitcheson with four children. Their names are Karenna, Kristin, Sarah, and Albert Gore the Third.
Al Gore became the 45th Vice President of the United States. The president at that time was Bill Clinton. Al Gore was chosen by Bill Clinton on July 9, 1992. He was formally nominated one week later. Al Gore won more than three million votes and Democratic contest in seven states.
After his vice presidency, Al Gore raised awareness about global warming all over the US. He has been awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for World Environment. He has also has made a movie called, "An Inconvenient Truth." "An Inconvenient Truth" was an Oscar-winning documentary. Al Gore wrote a best seller about global warming called, "Earth in the Balance".
Al Gore is my hero because he has a steady life, he was the 45th Vice President, and he raised awareness about global warming. Al Gore has inspired many people including me. I hope you will read why I think Al Gore is a hero and maybe he inspire you too!
