Abraham Lincoln

I picked Abraham Lincoln for my hero because he abolished slavery so every man could be free. He was a good leader and stood up for his beliefs. He was also honest because he believed in God.

Abraham Lincoln was very intelligent for a boy who only went to school for one year! Abraham Lincoln was so intelligent he taught himself how to read and write, not a lot of boys and girls could read and write in the 1800's. Later in life, Abraham Lincoln went back to college and became a lawyer and achieved his life long dream, to be president! I admire his hard work and determination.

Abraham Lincoln made a speech to help people understand that slavery should be ended. Abraham Lincoln made the speech because he felt that every man should have the right to be free and allowed to make their own choices.

Abraham Lincoln was very honest in his childhood. He was very ambitious because he would walk 5 miles just to borrow a book! In his older age he was intelligent enough to go back to college with no education.

These are the reasons why Abraham Lincoln is my hero. He worked at a young age to become a better person. He also helped to abolished slavery and wanted people to be free. I especially like Abraham Lincoln because he was honest and hard working.
