                 Major Accomplishments

One of Abraham Lincoln's accomplishments was that he was elected president. Another one of Abraham Lincoln's accomplishments was that he won the Civil War. But I think his best accomplishment was that he freed slaves. But it was not so easy he had to overcome many obstacles to free slaves.

Obstacles He Had To Overcome

One obstacle Abraham Lincoln had to overcome was that he was defeated for senate 3 times and was defeated for congress 3 times. If I was defeated for senate and congress 3 times I definitely would not have run for president because I would be embarrassed to run for anything because I was defeated so many times. Another obstacle he had to overcome was that he had to win the Civil war to free slaves. If I went to war knowing I might die I would not do it; I would probably be too scared to fight.

Abraham Lincoln was not just hard working; he was honest, caring, and determined. He was honest because he never told a lie, he was caring because he went to war to free slaves, and he was determined because he was determined to free slaves.

There are a lot of interesting facts about Abraham Lincoln. One of them was that he was the 16^th president. Another interesting fact is that he almost died when he was a boy because he got kicked in the face by a horse. But I was surprised that he was the tallest president.

Why He Is A Hero To Me

Abraham Lincoln is my hero because he did everything he could to free slaves. He is also my hero because he taught me that everyone is equal. My last reason he is my hero is because some of my cousins and friends are black. If it were not for him I might have not have ever seen them again. That is why Abraham Lincoln is my hero.
