Abraham Lincoln was born on 1809 in Kentucky and was elected the sixteenth president in 1861, serving for a four year term until 1865. He also served as the Chief in Commander in the Civil War and fought to end slavery. Because of Abraham, so many people in this world have the freedom they do now. Without Abraham Lincoln, I do not think the world would be the way it is. He gained peace for the whole United States and this is the main reason why Abraham Lincoln is my hero.
