My hero is my dad. He inspires me in every way possible. My dad is my hero because he is a fighter and he never gives up. He keeps going until he has accomplished his goal. One thing you will never hear or see my dad do is complain. Even when he was little and his mom told home to do something you would never hear him say, "Why?, I hate doing this or I don't feel like it and I don't want to". Part of the reason why I think he is my hero is because he knows how to teach and he pushes my brothers and I to our limits and makes us the best we can be.

When my dad was young he never really got to spend much time with his dad or mom, but for two separate reasons. His mom worked long shifts and was always trying to support the family. His father had a problem with drinking and was rarely home. When my dad was a teenager his dad passed away so I never got to meet him. I believe that everything happens for a reason and though I would have liked to have met my grandpa it wasn't meant to be.

My dad has four other siblings and they were not wealthy so my grandma had to work very late at night and very early in the morning. It was up to my dad and his siblings to get up in the morning and go to school. When my dad was a child he didn't know what he wanted to be, but the one thing that he did know is that he wanted to do more with his life. So while my dad was getting up, going to school and doing the best he could, his siblings thought that it would be okay to just not wake up (because it was too early), not go to school, and not do their homework.

Because my dad worked very hard at school, he was accepted to UCLA and graduated from there four years later. He eventually started his own business and now has a company with over 500 employees. He loves his job and sometimes lets me come to the office and help him.

My hero is a go getter; he never gives up, he never stops trying, but most of all he will never stop being my dad! Yes he can very much get on my nerves and irritate me a little sometimes but I love him and he makes me the person I am now. He is my dad and I know for a fact that he will always be there for me when I need him and I will always have a shoulder to cry on!
