Aiba Masaki

by Jessica from Taipei

Aiba Masaki, a member of the group "Arashi", who is called "miracle boy" in the group. Why is he called miracle boy? It is because that he always does something beyond others' imagination. Maybe someone will think that he was just lucky, but few people know that all of miracles require much effort. He always insists on what he thinks is right, and makes an effort to solve problems. He is a person who doesn't like to give up, so he always does his best and takes everything seriously. Though he is not the most prominent person in the group, he never feels depressed about that. Although he is usually forgotten by others, he never feels furious but just introduces himself again and again. When he encounters setbacks, he chooses to smile instead of having a bad mood. He is such an optimistic person that always smiles and brings his miracle to people around him.

In 2002, he was sick. At that time, he was always afraid that he might cause his members much trouble. When looking at his members singing and dancing on the stage, he would feel depressed. He took his work seriously, so he always feared that even if he made a quick recovery from his illness, he would not be able to return to his work. I think I would give up when faced with so many disasters, but Aiba Masaki just sticks to his ideal, making more efforts to prove it is worth doing so. "I laugh not because I'm happy, but because it is laughing that makes me happy. "I think this is the most important belief that supported him to be an optimistic man, and I will follow his philosophy to be a person who tries his best and never gives up. There is no denying that Aiba Masaki has a huge influence on the way I think. And I hope I can be as optimistic as he one day.
