Alejandro

by Alejandro from Buenos Aires

This is my father in his boat. (When we were sailing.)
This is my father in his boat. (When we were sailing.)

He is a courageous, good tempered and intelligent person who I admire. He is a very patient man, and I am grateful for it, and quick thinking. Last but not least, he is my father.

His name is Alejandro, just like me. He lives with my brother, my mother and me in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He works near my house in an office in the neighbourhood called Barrio Parque. What he had done for me is that he has given me shelter, education and food. These are some of the reasons for being grateful to him. From another point of view, I can say I admire him because he is capable of maintaining two boys and three girls.

He makes a difference in my life because he is very patient with me, for example when doing homework. He is very courageous because sometimes there are things I like to do, but I can’t do alone because they are very dangerous and my mother doesn’t let me do them alone, like for example sailing alone. He is good humoured because he makes me laugh when I am sad and he is very quick thinking because for example the other day he won an auction sale in Uruguay.

On the other hand, this year I read a book called “Number the Stars” written by Lois Lorry. In this book there is a girl called Annemarie who saved her Jewish friend from the Nazis and I compare her to my father because he takes care of me as she protected her friend Ellen from the Nazis persecution.

In a few words, my conclusion is that I love my father and I will always be right next to him when he needs it. We will always love each other forever.
