Ashoka was a great king because of his great physical strength. He was known as one of India's best fighters. He was born on 272 BC. With his leadership his military crushed and conquered most of the Indian subcontinent. He conquered present day Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, until Brahmagiri in Karnataka(India). With his strength he conquered many, many kingdoms up to the south of India. His archery skill was known throughout India. This shows how strong Ashoka was during his lifetime.

Ashoka is known for his great moral strength. He was once a king who had no mercy in the battle he fought. He slaughtered many kingdoms within a blink of an eye. Once he got done with the Battle of Kalinga, he saw the death rate and was filled with guilt. He had killed the king of Kalinga, from which the Kalinga's queen, with anger made Ashoka filled with guilt for killing her husband and killing her people. With all his grief Ashoka stopped his conquest. He then changed into a follower of Buddha. He started spreading Buddhism into other neighboring country. Ashoka in human history is often referred to as the emperor of all ages. He was famous for all the work he did as a king of peace follower. Through all this we can infer that Ashoka had great moral strength.

Ashoka's main principal in his life was to be a great king with freedom for everyone and have a kingdom with no corruption and things like that. He was admired for everything he had done. One of his most famous symbols, The Chakra, is India's national symbol. He contributed how to rule a country with no problem at all and have all the prosperity with it, and no corruption. His ways of all the peace keeping in his kingdom with everything mentioned till now is what made his a hero. Sadly he died on 232 BC.
