A hero doesn't really have to be a celeb, it could be anybody around you, your parents, your family, a writer, a poet, and many others could be heroes. A hero is somebody that has a certain quality that others see greatly in them. Every person has a hero of their own and you may not be able to choose who you think is your hero because there may be so many of them in your life. In those cases, you should really think about how, when, where, and why your "hero" is the way he or she is.
In order to be a hero, you don't have to be able to fly, wear tights and a cape, be a "dare devil", be the cutest, or even lift things that are about 100 times heavier than you, just be yourself. If you be yourself at all times, then people will see you for who you are and they will be able to see who and what it is that you like and don't like at all. Being yourself also tells people that YOU respect yourself, that you are responsible, and that you can and will strive for something that you seek for. You may go through hard times, but you have to learn that deep down inside of you, YOU are just as capable of being a hero as anybody else in this world.
There are millions upon millions of people in this world that are heroes. One of those people has earned her spot in my eyes as being a "hero"... her name is Sara. Sara is my aunt and I thought long and hard about who I really knew could be my hero and what qualities she shares with other heroes that are in comic books or movies. Sara has courage, she tries her very hardest, she is caring, she is supportive, and she is VERY special to me.
My aunt and I are so afraid of spiders and insects that it is practically pathetic... and one day, I was sitting in the living room watching tv... and my parents were gone. They had told me to cook something for myself and told me that they would come home later on. Well, I was SO hungry and so I got up and walked into the kitchen and was cooking some pasta and there was this HUGE spider that skittered across the floor... thank goodness I wasn't holding anything at the time because I screamed and ran out of the kitchen. I sat there for a minute thinking to myself, wow, that was really immature, and I thought for a second and decided to call Sara and tell her what had happened. When I told her, she laughed and told me that she would come over and kill it for me. That showed that she is courageous, caring, and supportive all in one!
Sara graduated from college with a bachelor's degree so that she could become a science teacher, and she still tries to go to every possible thing that she can... including coming over just to take pictures of me before I go to prom... she is always there and I want to thank her for that. Millions upon millions of times, over and over again!!!! I love my aunt and I am so happy that I have somebody like her in my life. I think everybody has a hero inside of them as well as has a hero that they rely on... they just have to find them!
