Ben

My hero is Ben Franklin. Because he shows sacrifice, courage, confidence, leader ship, and passion. He overcomes, inspires, he’s not phony, he has honor, he gives back, he is responsible, and determined. He showed sacrifice because he was the one who flew a kite in a rain storm with a key tied to it. No one else would fly a kite in a rain storm. He showed courage. Because he flew a kite in a rain storm knowing what might happen to him. If he hadn’t we would have to wait longer for someone to discover how electricity worked. He showed leadership because he inspired people to follow their dream to become scientists or to follow their own dream. He showed passion. Because when he was a child he always wanted to become a scientist. He inspires by when he followed his dream others wanted to follow their dream to become a scientist.

Ben Franklin

He is not phony because he was the one who discovered another power source instead of fire. He gives back because when he discovered other ways of doing things and showed them to the world to make life easier. He shows confidence. He was confident to start a new life after he ran away from his old life.

He was responsible. Because when he ran away he was responsible for every thing he did. He overcame the obstacles to have a new life such as getting a new house, wife, and a house. He was determined to find another source of light and power instead of fire, so he discovered electricity. He was honorable because he encouraged people to follow their dreams and never give up on something. Those are all the reasons why Ben Franklin is my hero.

Storm

Hear the rushing rain
And the booming
Thunder as you see lightning
From the sky.
Smell the fire as it hits the kite.
Taste the rain as it hits your tougue.
That is what will happen to you
When you are in a storm.
