"Don't sell yourself short because without that you can't go far in life because after sports the only thing you know is sports and you can't do anything else with that" Bo Jackson was a great football and baseball player but he also knew that you can't play sports forever, one day it is going to end. Bo Jackson is a great and inspiring person, he also has a foundation called Give Me a Chance, where he helps to inspire underprivileged children. Growing up in Alabama, Bo went to high school at Mcadory High School. He went on to play football at Auburn University and won the Heisman Trophy for the most outstanding college football player in the United States in 1985. After College Bo went on to play football for the Oakland Raiders and he also played baseball for the Kansas City Royals. He was named American League All Star Team MVP in 1989 and was put into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1998. In 1990 Bo made it to the NFL (National football league). Bo is inspiring because he was one of very few people to play two sports and be good at both. He is also caring because he helped his hometown rebuild after a disaster happened. Bo Jackson is a hero because he is inspiring and caring.

Bo Jackson is an inspiring person because he was really good at football and baseball. He inspires kids to get out and play sports. In the article, "Bo Jackson Leadership and Legacy" it states,"Everyone wanted to be a great, outstanding player like him and looked up to him for inspiration. He was an amazing athlete in both sports that he played professionally and was the only one of his kind."(Bo Jackson Leadership and Legacy.) He inspires kids everywhere just by the way he played football and baseball. He was one of very few people to play two professional sports and be great at both of them. He was one of a kind. Nobody else could do what he could. He could run a 40 yard dash in 4.12 seconds, which not a lot of people can run that fast he also won five awards playing football. Not only does he inspire kids to play sports. He also gives to his community. Rebecca Baer in her article states that, "Jackson and his group go into small Alabama towns seeking to persuade landowners to donate land where community storm shelters can be built"(Baer, Rebecca Angel). This shows that Bo Jackson is an inspiring person because he is in Alabama where he grew up, helping them rebuild after the tornado destroyed their community and he is getting landowners to donate land, so they can build shelters to keep people safe when the next natural disaster hits. The tornado destroyed houses and killed hundreds of people, Bo Jackson did not turn his back on them but came to their aid. By being an outstanding player Bo inspires youth to want to get up and go play. He is also inspirational, he cares about his community and gives so much to make life better for other people.

Bo Jackson has made a lot of money playing sports but he doesn't just care for himself he cares about the world.When the tornado hit Alabama he saw a need to help them and raise money for them. In the article Bo Jackson Leadership and Legacy it states, "The first Bo Bikes Bama took place in 2012 and Jackson has vowed to make it an annual event because he feels the need will always be there"(Bo Jackson Leadership and Legacy).This shows that Bo Jackson is a loving and caring person and is willing to hold fundraisers every year to raise money just in case something bad ever happens again. He was able to get start to rebuild right away and give the people in need food.He worries about the people in his community and wanted to find a way to help them. The idea came to his mind,."I sat up and thought about what I can do to give back to my community, my state. And I came up with this harebrained idea to ride a bicycle across the state," Jackson says.(Baer, Rebecca Angel.)This quote shows that Bo Jackson is a caring person. He was up all night worried about his hometown and how it got destroyed by a big tornado. He then got one his bike and rode across the state to raise money. He named this bike ride the Bo Bikes Bama and which still happens every year in Auburn,AL. Bo Jackson is caring because he has lots of money, and is not required to help but he helped out his hometown and state to rebuild after a big tornado hit and this is what makes him a hero.

Bo Jackson is a caring person because he helped his hometown rebuild and is an inspiring person because a lot of people look up to him because of what he did. He was a great athlete that cared about people and not only himself. Bo Jackson is inspiring because he is thinking about everybody in America. For the state he grew up in he raised a lot of money for the people in need but he does not stop there he is trying to make a change in the world by helping cities that need help, Bo Jackson is inspiring to many people because he had the choice to go to the MLB (major league baseball) but he chose to go to college and play football and baseball where he got many awards including the Heisman which is the biggest college football award you can receive. Bo Jackson is inspirational because lot of people try to be great athletes like him and he shows that anyone can care about other people and make a change in the world.
