Brian Johnson was born on October 5 in Dunston, Gateshead, England. His dad was a sergeant major of the British Army's Durham light infantry, and his mom was a housewife named Esther De Luca. Brian performed in a lot of shows in Scotland and appeared in a play which aired on televison and even joined his local church group. Brian first band was the Gobi Desert Canoe club; his second band was fresh. Both were in the 1970's. This was all before he joined the best band ever AC/DC.

In March 1980 Johnson got a phone call asking him to audition as the new vocalist for the greatest band ever AC/DC. It had seemed that the previous lead singer Bon Scott had died from a night of heavy drinking on February 19 and the band did not want to end. At the audition Johnson sang two songs, one was the the AC/DC song "Whole lotta rose" and the other song was Ike & Tina Turner's "Nutbush city limits". In early April Brian Johnson was announced to be the new lead singer for AC/DC.

Now that Brian Johnson joined, AC/DC he and the rest of the group began to finish Bon Scott's work and their first album was Back in black which was the first album with Brian singing. The album was such a great success that had became the second best-selling album of all time. The next album they made was in the 1981 and it was called For those who rock which also sold well. Some more albums like Flick of the switch and Fly on the wall which did not sell that well.

The first time that I ever heard Brian Johnson song must have been about three years ago, when I was in my dad's car and he was picking me up from school and he put in the Back in Black CD and I quickly came to like it. When we got home I took the CD and listened to it. Soon AC/DC became my favorite band. Now today I must have at least 23 AC/DC songs on my ipod now.

In conclusion this is my hero Brian Johnson. He showed me that even if you have a bad start you can still rock in the end.
