Bill Kaulitz

“Music can change the world because it can change people.” – Bono

My hero is Bill Kaulitz. I chose him to be my Hero because he inspired me and helped me realize it’s ok to be yourself. He has many qualities that make him a hero. He is generous, a good person, caring, spends time with his family, donates to charity and is himself and respects other people. He and his twin were bullied in school for being unique, but they never gave up and they stayed true to who they are. Its takes amazing strength and skill to do that and I respect and look up to him.

Bill was born in Leipzig, East Germany on September 1st, 1989. His brother Tom was born 10 minutes before him. His parents divorced when the twins were 7, so he depends on his brother for support. After 12 months his mother remarried and Bill and Tom's stepfather encouraged them to live out their music dreams. When they were 7 they also started writing music and Bill started to sing. Bill first realized his dream when he went to a Nena concert (German Singer). He loved her and she inspired him to become a singer.

Tokio Hotel had its début tour over all of Germany. Their first album Scream was a #1 hit. During their tour in the U.S.A they had to cancel a show because Bill had to have surgery due to an untreated throat infection. After that Bill rescheduled the tour and continued all around the U.S. They released their 2nd English album in October 2009. World Behind My Wall and Automatic went to the top of the charts, but the song Humanoid truly states how he feels, so close to fitting but not quite the same as everyone else.

Bill, Tom and the rest of Tokio Hotel are involved with many charities. Recently, they held a meet Tokio Hotel auction and raised 7000$ for Haiti. Tokio Hotel also sponsors the Designers against AIDS charity.

Bill Kaulitz is my Hero. He is Strong and Talented and has a huge heart. He has done so many great things for people, he inspires everyone he meets and Bill also made a difference in my life. I can relate to his songs and he has been through so much more than I had He's living his dream and one day, hopefully, I can live mine.
