When Brandy was seven years old her hero was Whitney Houston; Brandy looked up to Whitney Houston because of her good girl image and the fact that she was a Christian who made the right decisions. Brandy loved to listen to her music while growing up in the 1990's and one of her favorite songs from Whitney Houston is The Greatest Love of All. Brandy first started her career on the short lived sitcom Thea where she played the role of Danesha Turell. After the show was canceled she went on and released her first studio album in 1994 with the album titled as her name and was only 15 years old and sold over six million copies selling outside the United States.

In 1996 she later went on to star in her own sitcom show Moesha who she played the main character she also released her second album Never Say Never in 1998 which had sold over sixteen million copies the following year and she also released her own Barbie dolls as she had millions and millions of young girls looking up to her because of what she stood for. She currently has a foundation with her brother Ray J called The Norwood Kids Foundation. She also donates money to charity for the homeless and the hungry.

Brandy is my hero because when I hear her music it takes away my stress it; also makes me feel good when I'm down. She is also my hero because of what she stands for and where she comes from. Another reason I admire her is because she faces a lot of her fears and takes risks with her career. She also doesn't hold anything against people; when they say terrible things about her she forgives and that is another thing that she has taught me. Brandy is more than just a hero to me; she means the world to me and has become very important to me over the past couple of years. If Brandy was to get taken away from me and died I would be completely hopeless, helpless, sad and depressed and I wouldn't even know what to do with myself. Brandy is my Hero.
