My hero is Barrack Obama. The reason he is my hero is because he overcomes many challenges every day. He was born August 4, 1961 and he is the 44th president of the United States. The main reason he is my hero is because, as all presidents do, he gets threats every day from people but he doesn’t care about what they say. If he could rely on his fellow Americans to keep him safe & alive from all those threats, then why can’t we rely on him?

He also faces many political challenges against him so I think he is brave for standing up to all those politicians. The reason I think he is brave is because he gives speeches in public. He also declined good jobs that paid very good so he could help the poor in Chicago when he moved there. He was also the president of Harvard Law School Review. He has gone through a lot and done a lot to become president of the United States and he also had a lot of accomplishments before he became president, which is his biggest accomplishment.

He has even worked with groups that help kids get away from drugs and violence. Because he knows how it feels to be mixed up with drugs. After doing cocaine and marijuana when he was 15-18. Because he was mixed up with the wrong crowd. Then he realized it was wrong and said no more. And that’s where he started his great life. He also wrote a book about his life and he even admitted to doing drugs in the book and in real life without being asked if he ever did drugs? Even before he was president he was still helping people. He even won a Grammy in 2006 for best voice speaker because many people thought he had a great inspirational voice.

Barrack Obama has never given up anything besides drugs. He even has sponsored anti-terrorism when he was the state senate for Chicago. He even tried to get a spot in the U.S. Congress but they said no but he didn’t let them get the better of him. He is my hero and Barrack Obama’s hero is Gandhi because they both think everyone should be free and they both won Nobel Peace Prize awards. He has made an agreement with Russia to find and disarm nuclear bombs.

He is sort of the opposite of me. I give up easily and he never gives up. He and me are sort of alike. I like to have a good time and so does he and we both have good lives. I chose our president because he inspired me when he became president because he proved that the “sky is the limit” no matter what your skin color is. Hopefully he keeps on doing well and doesn’t take our trust for granted.
