His voice pierces through the music and surprises every one with the power that is held within it. The strings of the guitar fight to be heard over his voice but still manages to sound beautiful and strong. Brendon Urie is a singer and a guitar player. He is known for playing "emo" music and for his powerful voice. I found out about him because a friend showed his band to me. I fell in love with his voice immediately. As a high school student I have to deal with a lot of rude people and it's comforting to know that he did too. I would love to be a singer as well so he is a huge inspiration to me with his past and the success he gained over the years.

According to occupational outlook handbook website there are no job related tasks for singers and musicians. There are no education and training requirements for that job. Singers tend to make $24.20 per hour although it is different for each person depending on their popularity. There is a growth of 3% for singers each year according to occupational outlook handbook website. Some similar related careers are dancers and choreographers, actors, music directors and composers, and producers and directors. I have been unable to find any recent developments in singing as a whole but Brendon specifically has become more popular and known over these past two years.

Brendon Urie as a kid was very energetic although that may be due to do his ADHD which he states in an interview with fuse. It helps him now in his career because he can be very energetic on stage and causes his show to be very exciting. Brendon Urie was an average student in school but he did not go to college. As soon as he graduated high school he joined his band Panic! At The Disco which he states on his website. He first joined the band in 2004 and they came out with their first album in 2005. In 2008 two of his band members left leaving him and another man called Spencer Smith to continue the band. The two came out with their next album in 2009. After that Spencer left the band leaving Brendon to continue on his own. Since then Brendon has done very well. He has come out with two more albums the most current one came out in 2015 called Death of a Bachelor. He is currently on tour and is on the top charts with his new album and singles.

Brendon Urie is a strong advocate for human rights. He is in a constant battle with the Westboro Baptist Church. They went to picket one of his concerts and he decided to turn that into a positive thing. He decided that for each Westboro Baptist church member that showed up he would donate $20 to The Human Rights campaign. He ended up raising $1000 even though 16 members showed up. He then created limited addition T-shirts and took all the proceeds and donated it to The Human Rights campaign. He is a huge supporter of gay rights and is a big social activist. That helped many teenagers come into terms with their sexuality and learn to love who they are and accept their sexuality.

Brendon was bullied at school and took those experiences and made them into beautiful music. I want to be like him and take the bad experiences I have in life and find a way to turn them into something beautiful. He has kept his energy and excitement through his life and all the horrible things he has gone through and I find that very admirable. I aspire to keep the childlike wonder and happiness that he has managed to keep. He came from the same kind of religious background as I did and this helps me to know that there are people with the same type of background as me that have been able to become really successful and I hope to be half as successful as he is one day. He has the job that I dream to have one day and it's very comforting to know that even though someone might have a rough background they can still do wonderful things and create beautiful music.
