My hero is Brett Favre. He has hosted a charity for disabled and disadvantaged people. Brett Favre was born on October 10, 1969 in Kiln, Mississippi; he weighed nine pounds, fifteen ounces. When Brett Favre was growing up his heroes were pro quarterbacks: Roger Staubach who played for Dallas Cowboys, and Archie Manning who played for the New Orleans Saints.
Brett Favre created the Brett Favre Forward Foundation in 1996. He announced that the three groups (the special Olympics, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay) would split all contributions that were made.
Deanna and Brett, in 1997, started the Brett Favre Forward Foundation. They wanted their efforts to help disabled and disadvantaged children. After ten years, the foundation donated $3 million to charities in Wisconsin and Mississippi, and also signed out untold numbers of items of in kind items to be used for charity auctions.
When Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, destroying Brett Favre’s childhood house and thousands of other homes he made an effort to raise money to donate to those who lost their home.

The reason I chose Brett Larenzo Favre as my hero is because first off, I want to help disabled people and disadvantaged people. My cousin had Ret Syndrome and died at age 16. I really want to help those kids have a wonderful life and enjoy it, and be able to get the kind of equipment they need. In order for me to do that I want to start a donation for it. The other reason is I am a big football fan and he really caught my attention the way he can play and really focus on the way he does it to win. He may not win every game but he really does try hard. That is why Brett Favre was my hero. scholarship from Southern Miss., the offer is for Brett to play defensive back.
