Later in his life he attended Fatima college, when he was fourteen, that was also the place where he started to develop his skill as a professional cricket player. He also played soccer and table tennis as sports but he only majored in cricket (Wikipedia).

Brian Lara's life is greatest mentor was his parents and family that have always supported him form when he was a boy to the time he started as a great international cricket player in the league. He made those goals by doing the ICC world cup and he won it over Pakistan.

Brian Lara changed the world by showing everyone around the world that anyone can be great at what they do through hard work and determination, lots of practice makes perfect. Traits possessed that makes Brian Lara a hero is that he came from a not so wealthy house-hold, and practiced how to play cricket as a boy, until all of his practice has paid off and now he is one of the greatest cricket players of all time, and has a very successful career. Brian Lara is my hero because we basically came from the same chain of islands called the Leeward Islands and he showcased that good talent can come from such a very strange and basically unknown part of the world.
