Bach, when younger |
Johann Sebastian Bach was born on March 21, 1685 in Eisenach, Germany. He played the harpsichord and organ and had a large musical family. His mother died when Bach was nine, and his father died a year later. Johann Sebastian Bach is my hero because he was a role model, hard worker, and a nice guy.

Bach's family |
Bach was a role model because he worked really hard and didn’t complain. He married three times and had a total of 17 kids. He made sure that they were doing well in school and they all played music. Somehow, he figured out a way to get his kids to practice and do their chores at the same time.
Bach was also a hard worker. He wrote for and conducted four churches, a school choir, a university choir, and music for the city’s special events. He also wrote music for kings and queens. After all that, he still had time for his kids. Because he was very religious, his church services lasted for five hours.
Johann was a very nice guy. He was non-violent and stood up for what was right. His music even made you feel better if you were sad or grumpy. Bach was thrown in jail because he quit his job with one of the kings because he didn’t like how the king acted toward Bach.

Sadly, Bach’s life ended in 1750. Even though his music is old, it’s still played today. As you can see, that’s why Bach was my hero. He is my hero because he was a role model, hard worker, and a nice guy.
