My hero is my dad because he didn't start with much, but he is very successful now. My dad was born in Bakersfield, CA. He moved around a lot, in the northern California/southern Oregon. He had three sisters and his mom and dad, but his dad died when he was little. So he's had many different dads in his lifetime. Bud was his most important father figure. Bud was his dad for most of his childhood.

Then he when he was in 7th grade he moved seven times in one year. So that means he went to seven different schools in one year. That's when he kind of went downhill. Now he says it's because he didn't have a father. When he stopped moving he was in Joplin and he was in 8th grade. The bad part about him stop moving was that Bud left the family. In 9th grade he got kicked of school and never went back.

When he was eighteen, he got fired from his job. So he looked for a job. At that time he was out a job for eight weeks; that was the longest time he went without a job. Then he got a job at Lozer; he worked there for fourteen years. Then he got a job at F.A.G; he worked there for four years working a sixteen hour shift seven days a week. Then he he started a towing company.....

When he first started he didn't get much out of it. He was all by himself working 24/7. But a couple months later he hired a driver, then he hired two more. So then he learned how hard it is to have drivers. Now he is the only AAA towing company in Joplin.

My dad is very successful now but he did it by working hard and doing what he needed to do. He also did it without a high education.
