Mark, Travis and Tom |
A hero to me is someone who has helped and impacted your life. My hero’s name is Blink-182. Blink-182 is a band of three members. Their names are Tom Delonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker. They have amazing songs. They all started out in 1993 in San Diego, California. They used to have a drummer named Scott Rayner but he had to quit the band because he wanted to go to college.

Later on, Blink-182 made a few music albums. Their first album to be released was Fly Swatter. The second one is called Buddha and came out in 1994. After those two albums, Scott Rayner left the band and Travis Baker came in. Their third song, and Travis’s first song with the band, was Cheshire Cat. It one was released in 1995. After that, they went on the 1996-1997 wrapped tour with Pennywise and Nofx. Enema of the State came out in the summer of 1999 and The Tom, Mark and Travis show, The Enema Strikes Back, followed in the fall of 2000. One of their best hits called Take off your Pants and Jacket, was out in the spring 2001. There last album was their self-titled album, Blink-182 and it came out in 2003.
They were born and raised in San Diego, California. They still live there to this day. They are rich and have palatial homes. They have everything that is high-tech; they have pools, extra rooms, and a lot of exciting things in their house! Tom and Travis have spoiled kids that get everything they want!
The Blink-182 members are quite young. Delonge’s birthday is on December 13, 1975, that makes him 30. Hoppus’s birthday was on March 18, 1971; he is 34. Barker’s birthday is November 14, 1975, and he’s 30. They don’t look as old as you might think they are; they look very young and trendy. They are loved by teenagers throughout the world.

They are important to me because they wrote a few songs that make me feel happy. When I feel sad or mad, I just put on any of their songs. It instantly cheers me up. For example, they have a song called “All the Small Things” and they tell you that you should be truthful. They say, “Truth cares, truth brings”. They talk about good values and encourage us to be truthful and honest. Overall, they are an awesome band!
