Margaret Ann Brady is my hero. She survived the Titanic, which was a tragic accident. This major event happened in 1912. Margaret lived in St. Abernathy's Orphanage for girls. She was very successful because she went from living in an orphanage to becoming a rich young lady. Margaret is important to me because she was one of the ones who survived the Titanic and she also saved other lives. She also is important to me because she was very young when this happened, she was my age 13. To be that young on a boat that was sinking, she was very courageous. She was also strong, and smart.
Margaret Ann Brady was successful. She was successful because, like I said, she went from living in an orphanage to becoming a rich young lady. She was also successful because she survived the Titanic and saved other lives. She saved other lives by letting them go into the safty boat instead of herself. She was successful in surviving the Titanic because she blew the whistle, that was on another person who did not survive, and got the safety boat's attention, which came back to find people who are still alive.
Margaret Ann Brady was courageous. She was courageous because she didn't panic like everyone else. She was also couragous because she was on the ship when the ship actually cracked in haif and was sinking. She also had courage when she was trying to save her love Jack from the water. She also stood up to the man she was supposed to marry who was verbally abusive to her.
Margaret was smart. She was smart because she knew not to panic because it would only make things worse. She also knew that it was better to leave the man she was going to marry and go to her real love Jack. She was also smart because she knew she had to get the safety boat's attention. She knew she had to get onto something so she wouldn't freeze like everyone else did. She was smart to get on a piece of wood to be safe.
In conclusion, I've learned a lot about Margaret Ann Brady and what she went through. I seriously give her credit for actually surviving and going through this at a young age. She really is an important person to me. She made a difference in my life because, knowing that she went through this at a young age, I'll be able to go on a boat with no problem. She is a really great person and I'm glad I wrote about her.
