Rod Brind’Amour is a 37 year old man that plays hockey in Carolina for the Carolina Hurricanes. He was born on August 9, 1970 in Ottawa, Ontario but considers Campbell River, British Columbia his home town. He is 6’1 and 205 pounds. He has a nickname of “Rod the Bod”. He is still alive today and still playing hockey and doing very well!

Rod Brind’Amour has done a lot for Cystic Fibrosis. Every year, at Stories Beach golf club, in Campbell River he hosts a golf tournament and is always successful. In 2006, his team won the Stanley Cup and brought it to Campbell River. It attracted many fans to the golf tournament because the Cup was there. I think that he is a hero, playing hockey and during spare time, helping charities.

Rod Brind’Amour is a hero because he likes to help out with fundraising for charities (mostly Cystic Fibrosis) and is also a great hockey player and I love playing hockey. I have met him before and he his really nice, I think that a hero for me should be nice.

In conclusion, Rod Brind’Amour is a great hockey player and great guy too. He is a guy I would like to be around.
