Tedy L. Bruschi is my hero. He is a linebacker for the New England Patriots. Tedy was drafted by the Patriots in the third round of the 1996 NFL Draft. In 2005 Tedy suffered a mild stroke.

Tedy Bruschi was born on June 9, 1973 in San Francisco, California. His parents names are Anthony Sr. and Juanita. He is one of three children. He attended high school at Roseville High School. He earned letters in wrestling, track, and football. He later went to college at Arizona University. While there, he majored in communications. He was also a football star. He tied the NCAA Division I-A career sack record with fifty-two. He finished his career with one hundred and eighty-five tackles, six forced fumbles, and five recovered fumbles.

Since suffering a stroke in 2005, Tedy has established Tedys Team. Tedys Team is a vehicle that fights strokes. Stroke is the number one cause of disability in the United States. Tedy has dedicated himself to raising money for stroke research. Members of Tedy's Team have run in the Boston Marathon and the Falmouth Road Race and have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for stroke research.

Tedy has inspired me to donate money to charities when I can. He has also inspired me to continue playing football and other sports. What inspired me the most is how determined Tedy was to come back to the NFL after suffering a stroke.

Tedy has inspired me in many different ways. After reading this I hope that you are also inspired.
