Chester Bennington is the lead vocalist for the nu metal band Linkin Park.

I personally find Chester as a Hero to me in his interpretation of powerful and dark emotions through his music. I find this particularly strong in one of Linkin Park's most well known songs, Numb. He not only uses his own voice and lyrics to portray the emotions, but he also combines the use of the background vocals, special effect and percussions to form a well blended mixture that can exceptionally tell a story.
In his childhood Chester was sexually assaulted by a close friend of a family member. Since then he has given large sums to charity's that support battering and sexual assault victims. Over the years since him joining Linkin Park he has donated at least 100,00 dollars to various charities.
