Humans evolved from many generations of other creatures. This is something we never would have known without the discovery of Charles Darwin. If not for Charles Darwin, we might all still be left wondering how we got here. Charles Darwin was born in Shrewsbury in 1999 into a wealthy family. His father was a well-known and respected doctor and it was expected that his sons would also become doctors. But to fill this he would need strength and intelligence A hero must contain strength of body and will. They also must possess intelligence.
Charles Darwin is a hero because he had the strength to stand up to the church which at the time was one of the most powerful organizations in the world. Often, at the time, if you went against the church you were often punished with exile or worse. His beliefs that humans had evolved over time went against the church's belief that we were created by god. "Many people were repulsed at the suggestion that human beings could somehow be related to earlier, non-human life forms. In addition, many objections to the book were based on its implicit rejection of man's miraculous creation. (Darwin)" Darwin believed that people evolved from other animals. But until then, the rest of the Western world believed that we were created by God. People immediately rejected the idea that we were not created by god. The church had convinced the people so well that when a new idea came up about anything that went against the church they immediately rejected the idea. Despite the resistance he still continued to research and publish it. "Regardless of his opposition, he remained publicly taciturn about the impact his scientific theories on theology, scientific methodology, and social theory."([Office1] Charles Robert Darwin) He met resistance from the church and other scientists, but he still continued to be outspoken about his research. He had the strength to continue his research Charles Darwin is a famous scientist, but only because he had the strength to stand up to the church and publish his research despite much resistance.

Charles Darwin as an Adult (Micropia) |
Our modern understanding of how we humans as a species came to be present on earth exists as a commonly held belief only because of the perseverance of Charles Darwin. Charles Darwin's curiosity and interest in the truth led him to one of the biggest scientific discoveries of the time, evolution. "
His major contribution to the field was the introduction of a mechanism by which evolution was accomplished. Darwin believed that evolution was the product of an ongoing struggle of species to better adapt to their environment, with those that were best adapted surviving to reproduce and replace less-suited individuals. He called this phenomenon "survival of the fittest", or "natural selection." (Charles Robert Darwin) He had the vision to look at someone else's idea and expand it into his own, better idea. His idea of "survival of the fittest" and "natural selection" still hold true today. He made many of his discoveries on his journey in the Beagle, which was a ship that carried him around the world while he made discoveries "While in Brazil, Darwin found his first fossil, the skull of an extinct giant sloth. For the next three years, Darwin made geological and biological observations, took records, and collected specimens of every kind as the ship cruised back and forth along the coasts of South America" (Desmond) He made discoveries that nobody else did, just by using his eyes. His intelligence led him to make discoveries that would change the worlds beliefs One of Charles Darwin's heroic traits was his intelligence. Charles Darwin is a hero because of his strength and intelligence, which allowed him to make important scientific discoveries. His strength helped him continue his research even with a lot of resistance and opposition. His intelligence helped him make important discoveries that nobody had ever made before. He inspires me to do what I want despite what other, more powerful people might say. He also inspires me to use my intelligence to make new discoveries Charles Darwin is a great hero because of his heroic traits.
This is super super important and enlightening, I think, even to people who already know what Charles Darwin's theory was. You can leverage this to support your hero theory. He was a "reluctant" hero, in a way.
I think it was less of a "discovery", wasn't it? More of a new way to look at things based on the data in front of him. Just something to think about. Did Darwin come up with the word "evolution"?"Charles Robert Darwin." World of Earth Science, edited by K. Lee Lerner and
