For my hero project I chose Chris Farley who is also known as a legend of comedy. He was born on February 15th, 1964 in the town of Madison, Wisconsin. In his youth he was a class clown and that’s one of the reasons why I have chosen him. I too was a class clown in elementary school. He has starred in some of my favorite movies including “Billy Madison, Beverly Hills Ninja, Coneheads, Airheads, Tommy Boy, Black Sheep.”

Chris Farley made people laugh constantly throughout his life and he never took anything as an insult. He grew up with two brothers who constantly did what older brothers do, they picked on him as a child, and that encouraged him to be a class clown. He joined the drama club in school because it gave him a chance to act like and be someone else. He developed a way to swear that his parents wouldn’t take it wrongly because they didn’t know that that’s what he was doing which included his famous saying called “Holy Schnike’s”.

Chris Farley could take the role that he was given for movies and adapt them by adding his own little special characteristics to the role. He became best friends with the actors he worked with and also the producers. He worked with his best friend and coworker from Saturday Night Live, David Spade, in most of his movies. He became famous which is everybody’s dream but when his popularity grew so did his problems. He no longer wanted to be the fat funny guy who fell down all the time, he wanted to be someone else.

Chris Farley will also be remembered forever because of his comic standup. The movies that he has made will last us a lifetime because they are unforgettable. In his last days he was in the process of making another movie with his best friend David Spade. The most famous of his jokes was his original fat guy in little coat which he also used as a prop in his movie “Tommy Boy”.

In Conclusion we lost a legend of comedy and a stand up friend. His tragic death was the result of a drug overdose. Christopher Crosby Farley was pronounced dead on December 18th, 1997 in Chicago, Illinois. Memorial Services were held in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. Rob Schneider, Dan Aykroyd, Chris Rock, and Adam Sandler attended his funeral. He was buried in Resurrection Cemetery, in Madison.
