Chad Kroeger

Chad Robert Turton was born in Hanna, Alberta, Canada. He is the guitarist of the band Nickelback. Chad loves playing videogames and role playing games. His favorite game is “Fable” for X-box. His band Nickelback started playing in Hanna. Hanna is located 215 kilometers northeast of Calagary. In 1998, "Nickelback were managing themselves, Chad Kroeger, in all the radio tracking, his brother, Mike Kroeger, in the distribution and Ryan Peake, (one of the members of the band) in all the bookings."

His band broke up, and "this is when Kroeger convinced some friends to play in the studio with him to record several songs he’d been writing." Nickelback had relocated from Hanna to Vancouver and slowly became stars in their own country and broke out in U.S.A.

"Kroeger was responsible for most of the band’s songs, and he began writing in a much more direct, writing personal topics like the pain and anger associated with his father being absent while he was growing up." Nickelback’s popularity grew throughout North-America. Kroeger took some separate time to participate in some collaboration with another artist. He performed with Carlos Santana’s Album and did a cover with Elton John’s “Saturday Night’s Alright”.

For me a “HERO” is someone who does something for others, he is responsible, honest and he doesn’t need to have superpowers to make the other people know him. This person, Chad Kroeger, is my hero because he is perseverant and he didn’t give up when his father was not there for him and he also loved his stepfather and his mother and that’s why he is my hero.
