Chris Kyle was a late Navy S.E.A.L sniper who also had the most confirmed kills in the Army. Chris Kyle is a hero to many people because he has helped save many lives and founded a non-profitable foundation to help veterans overcome post-traumatic stress disorder.

Chris became a hero during his four deployments in Iraq, and was inspired to enroll in the Army by his father and brother whom he went hunting with a lot and was also extremely patriotic. Chris also have his own holiday known as Chris Kyle Day in Texas. Chris is an american hero because of his nature and what he has done.

Chris Kyle is a hero to many because he is dedicated and intrepid. Chris became a hero during his four deployments in Iraq in 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2008. For example, "During an overwatch mission, Chris was providing rooftop cover for the Marines below as they cleared buildings below... Chris and another SEAL sniper realized they were no longer useful from the rooftop, so they ran down the stairs to support the marines. By this time, the Marines had barricaded themselves in a building across the street from the insurgents' house...Chris scurried in front of the enemy's hideout and grabbed one of the injured Marines... As the Marines were running along, Chris heard enemy gunfire. He scrambled down to find the shooters. He stumbled upon a Marine unit clustered at the end of an alley... The Marines scurried away, and Chris was about to follow them, but he saw an injured Marine with multiple shots to his legs. He couldn't move. Chris thought back to the marine who had died in his arms a few days earlier and knew what he had to do. He had to grab his comrade and get out of there"(Greenblatt 1). This quote shows that he is fearless because he knew that he and his fellow sniper might get shot but are still risking their lives to help injured comrades. In light of this information, Chris Kyle is considered a hero to many because he is dedicated and intrepid while doing his job. He had many long lasting accomplishments.

Chris had co-launched a non-profitable organization called, FITCO Cares Foundation, which supplied fitness equipment to wounded veterans. Chris also spoke out against president Obama's push to tighten gun control. He also founded a security company, Craft International, and his motto is, "Despite what your momma told you, violence does solve problems." Finally, he created a non-profitable organization to help veterans with PTSD( Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). These are reasons why Chris Kyle is a hero.
