In honor of Christopher Reeve, I did research about this hero in “Biography Today.” I chose Christopher Reeves because he played the role of my second favorite super hero. After the research, I was glad I did because I learned so much about him that I didn’t know.

Who knew such a normal beginning would give the world such a hero? Christopher was born on September 25, 1952 in Manhattan, New York. His father’s name was Franklin D’ Olier Reeve and his mother’s name was Barbara Pitney Lamb.

The foundation of heroism is education. He went to Princeton day school in New Jersey. He attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Later, he joined Julliard School for Drama in New York City where he shared a room with Robin Williams, a comedian.

Hard work contributes to heroism. He played Kathrine Hepburn’s grandson in a play called “A Matter of Gravity”. His first film was “Gray Lady Down”. It was a failure. Then, he starred as the main character, Superman, in Superman in 1977.

Christopher Reeve is important to mankind and changed the world. He made a difference in so many ways to so many people. When his Superman career ended, he had a tragic accident falling off of his horse. He had a spinal injury and gave speeches to others that had the same disability. He died on October 10, 2004.
