| C.S. Lewis |
I am the writer of many books, including The Chronicles of Narnia. One of my books was even turned into a movie. Do you know who I am?
I am Clive Saples Lewis, commonly known as C.S. Lewis. I was born in Ireland. I wrote quite a few books, only seven of which were for children.
I did quite a few things during my life. Most people know me because of The Chronicles of Narnia. In 1917, I joined the army. On April 15, 1918, I was injured. I left the army for good in December. I did quite well as a soldier while I was in the army. I even captured a group of enemy soldiers. I also talked on the radio about Christianity, hoping to answer peoples questions.
I was born on November 29, 1898, in Belfast, Ireland. As a kid, I had a big imagination. I made up 'Animal Land,' which gave me the idea of Narnia. In 1908, my mother died. Because of that, I was sent to boarding school, which I hated. In 1916, I took the Oxford University entrance exams. Because I did so well, I got a scholarship. In 1950, I started The Chronicles of Narnia, and finished them in 1956. I wrote them in the following order: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair, The Horse and His Boy, The Magician's Nephew, and finally, The Last Battle. I died on Friday, November 22, 1963.
I was an excellent writer. I wrote more than ten books. I wrote all seven Narnia books in seven years, writing each book in one year.
