Christopher Wallace is a respectable rapper that influenced the east coast of the United States. Chris was very fluent throughout the English language. Christopher had the most amazing storytelling abilities, as he could embed his true life situations into the lyrics of his music. He was a part of the east coast & west coast war that started after the mugging of Tupac Shakur. For all these reasons, I chose Christopher G. Wallace.

Christopher Wallace was born and raised on the streets of Brooklyn, New York. Christopher was born on May 21, 1972 at St. Mary's Hospital. His mother, Voletta Wallace, was a single parent who worked two jobs while raising him. His father, George Latore, a small time politician, left when Christopher was age 2. Christopher was introduced and started selling drugs at age 12. His mother was often away at work and did not find out till he was a young adult. Christopher was arrested twice and booked in jail for 7 months. He stopped his drug selling after he got his record deal.

Christopher Wallace the first east coast rappers in history. Christopher was also known as Notorious B.I.G. or Biggie Smalls. Christopher started rapping at a young age. He entertained people on the streets at age 17. Christopher also made a demo tape named "Biggie Smalls" that was given to Puff Daddy and possibly started his career. Christopher married Faith Evens on Aug. 4, 1994 and released his first album entitled "Ready to Die" which featured his hit song Juicy, which Christopher improvised the whole way in creating the song. Notorious B.I.G. impacted the United States with his amazing lyrics over his course of his career.

Christopher Wallace is a big inspiration in my life. Biggie Small's music influenced the world and me to chase a dream. He had a dream at age 17 to make music and he became one of the world's most known musicians in all time. He was deep in the crack epidemic in the 1980's and was lucky enough to be pulled out and had a clear sight on his dream. He started out doing shows at local Colleges until he got a record deal at BadBoy industries. I have been lucky enough to live in the time of his music to learn from his lyrics, To chase a Dream.

Christopher influenced the world, changed the rap game and built a new company in the short 24 years of his life. He sought to tell people his stories through the lyrics of his music. Christopher Wallace was murdered in a drive by shooting on March 9th, 1997 in L.A. while promoting a new album release. He did not live to watch his second album, "Life After Death", be released on March 25th. Since then one other album entitled "Born Again" has been released and 2 Documentaries have been made.
