Photography and Film
Julia Margaret Cameron took up photography after her daughter gifted her a camera for her 48th birthday. Despite what might be considered an advanced age to begin one's life work, Cameron heroically persevered to become an influential figure in modern photography. She was known both for her portraits of famous people of the time and a series of staged photographs she created to portray mythical characters like King Arthur and Cerces.
