Chad was born on November fifteenth, nineteen seventy-four. His birth place was Hanna, Alberta, Canada. During Chad’s junior high years, he was sent to a juvenile detention center in his county for repeatedly breaking into his school to steal money. However, he went on to graduate from high school and he and the junior high principal are friends now. He always dreamed of becoming a rock star when he was littler. His first concert that he ever went to was Iron Maiden with Guns ‘N’ Roses opening in nineteen eighty-eight.

Chad’s wife’s name is Marianne Gurick. His body features consist of six feet and one inch tall, curly hair, and a goatee. From what I have found out his personality is that he likes to party a lot. One of his favorite artists is Lyle Lovett; he is a songwriter and a musician. Chad is now the lead singer for a famous rock band named Nickelback. He has been a rock star since nineteen ninety-five. During all of this he has made his own record company called VI-0-IV or pronounced 604.

He likes to be on the road when he is writing his songs so that when he performs the songs don’t have the studio feel to them. His accomplishments are: he finished high school, learned to play the guitar at the age of thirteen, writes his own songs for Nickelback, has his own record company, and has soundtracks for some certain movies and television shows. The worst job that he has ever had was washing “high rise buildings, standing on a two by six plus a tiny safety harness plus fourteen stories off the ground equals time to quit.” The first record that he had ever bought was “CCR’s Greatest Hits.” The latest CD’s that he has bought was the new “Rage against the machine” and the “Stone Temple Pilots.”

The instrument that Chad plays is the guitar and the vocals, of course. When he was playing with Bo Bice he played the clarinet. The types of guitars that he uses are Paul Reed Smith, Gibson, and Gretsch electric guitars. He also uses Morgan, Martin, Yamaha, and Tacoma acoustic guitars. The associated acts that he has participated in were Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman, Default, Santana, Thornley, and with Bo Bice.

Chad really inspires me because he writes his own songs about his own life and he doesn’t usually make them up. He is the lead singer of my favorite rock band. To me Chad and his group are my biggest heroes. I really don’t think that Chad intended to be a hero when he was growing up. I can really relate to him because I have as much problems as much as his songs say he does. Thanks for reading about my biggest hero, Chad Kroeger.
