Coupet, Lyon's "fireman"

He is the goalkeeper of the French national team and also the Lyon goalkeeper. Gregory Coupet was born in 1972 the 1st in Puy en Velay in the middle of France. He began his career in Saint Etienne at the beginning of the nineties. In 1997 he joined Lyon. And in the last few years, he has become the best goalkeeper in France. Above all, he is an example for all sportsman. He has never been pretentious although he has been the best French goalkeeper for some years. On the contrary, he has remained kind and humble. When he has public training he always smiles at people or greets people. He is the only one to do that. When his training is over, he spends time with his fans for a signature. He is very generous, even if there are more than a hundred people in front of him, he will spend time with all of them. Coupet never complains. He just enjoys life. For example, at the last World Cup, he didn’t say he deserved to be the first goalkeeper though he was the best, he just agreed to be the second one. Last year he seriously hurt his leg but he didn’t give up, he just thought of coming back even better than before. It’s proof of his courage and determination. One of his biggest qualities is that even if he loses he still teases his teammates. He is always in a good mood. And for all lovers of football, he is the fireman of the Lyon team and the last player who can save the team. He also can make miracles like in 1999 against Barcelona and on that day it was the real beginning of the Coupet legend. All people like him for his qualities as a professional goalkeeper but especially for his qualities as a human being.
