My hero is Dave Buchanan. I first met Dave when he was coaching my brother’s flag football team for the school. Our team did not have a coach so he coached us too. Dave and I became really good friends. Then, my mom and Dave started dating and he started to come to my house much more often. He took me everywhere I needed to go and was like a second father to me.
Dave has two sisters; he is a twin. He also has two brothers. He grew up in Alamo, California. His mom was in the business of politics. His dad sold insurance. Dave’s dad passed away when he was seventeen years old. He has had many struggles in his life but has overcome them.
When Dave was twenty-six years old he started to take RCIA classes to become Catholic. It took him about one year to finally become baptized and confirmed Catholic after all of his effort and hard work.
Dave is now Catholic and works for Worldwide Express. He continues to coach our football team and has coached every other sport I have played. He is a very successful man and always will be no matter what he does.
Dave has played a big part in my life and I do not know what I would have done without him. He continues to help my family with whatever they need help with. He will always be a hero to my brother, sister, and I and to most of the people at St. Catherine’s School. This is why Dave Buchanan is my hero.
