Darcey Bussell was born on the 27th April 1969. From childhood Darcey dreamt of becoming a ballet dancer, and going to the Royal School of Ballet, at White Lodge. When Darcey finally was allowed to audition for the school at the age of 13, her dream came true. Darcey Bussell is my hero because she had to work hard to become a dancer, and face a lot of obstacles, she inspired me to start dancing myself. Her main qualities are kindness, passion and determination. People think that heroes are people that save the day. But that is not true! A hero can be anyone, like a person that got back on their feet after an accident.

Darcey's main quality is passion. Darcey loves dancing and gets into it. That's what drove her to become a ballet dancer. When Darcey started at the ballet school she was struggling, and thought she had made a bad choice coming to the school. But her passion and love for ballet made her keep going! .

One of Darcey's main qualities is determination! When Darcey started to work in the ballet company, she was determined to prove herself. After getting moved up to higher positions. All of the other principal dancers thought that you had to do your years and earn the privilege. An example of Darcey's determination is when she took up some hard roles. Like in Romeo and Juliet.

Darcey Bussell is very good at being strong! Darcey was strong and brave when she started at the ballet school. Getting moved up the ranks really fast, the other soloists and principal dancers were not being nice to her and sent to the back of the class. But Darcey just ignored them! She let her love of ballet take over. She ended up making it to the top because she just ignored all of those dancers and was strong!

In conclusion Darcey Bussell is a passionate, determined and strong dancer that has had an incredible career. She has shown her love and determination for ballet, and she has become one of the most famous British ballet dancers.
