My champion is Duane Chapman (aka Dog the Bounty Hunter). He was born February, 2, 1953 in Denver, Colorado. At grade 7 he dropped out of school and joined a biker gang. Duane Chapman was an amateur boxer and got the name Dog Lee from his nickname and last name. In 1977 Dog was convicted of murder of a Jerry Oliver in Pampa, Texas, although he claims he was innocent. He was sentenced to 5 years and was released on parole after only serving 18 months in the Houston prison in Houston Texas. In 2004 he married his wife Beth Smith and changed their last name to Chapman. He became a bounty hunter when he was in court when he was trying to settle a child support but didn’t have enough money to pay the judge so the judge offered him to catch a criminal and he could get the children. He know owns several bail bond businesses in Hawaii and Colorado.

I see Duane Chapman as a champion because his life was in the rough with quitting school and joining the biker gang and getting arrested but was able to power through it all and was able to start his life on track again. Dog was able to accomplish a lot of things like championships when he was a wrestler, he also accomplished catching over 6,000 fugitives in his career.

I chose Duane Chapman because he has been on the other side of the law when he was younger and now is on the good side of the law and that’s hard to do but him being a Christian and praying helped him through his hard times. So then he catches a fugitive he has a conversation and tells the fugitive to pray and their life will turn around and that’s why I chose Duane Chapman as my champion.
