My hero is Dave Chappelle. Dave Chappelle is comedian and a actor he has played many roles in different movies and he has also done a lot of stand up comedy. He born in August 24, 1973. He was born in Washington D.C. His mother's name is Yvonne and his dad's name is William.

Dave's career started while he was in high school at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC. His career really took off when he moved to New York City shortly after graduation. His father taught music and voice at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland; Yellow Springs, Ohio; and Washington, D.C., and still lives in Yellow Springs, Ohio, with his wife and children. Elaine is a Filipino. His mother has been a professor at Howard University, Wilberforce University, Central State University and University of Maryland. She is also a Unitarian Universalist minister. He has two sons, Sulayman and Ibrahim. Likes to play video games, and even has a World Of Warcraft account.

Like it says on the imdb web page the Dave Chappelle's decision to become a comedian was taken after he read an article about Bill Cosby. So, Dave Chappelle moved to New York in pursuit of his career as a comedian. Then from there Dave Chappelle worked with big celebrities like like Charlie Murphy, Rick James and Free way (musical performer). Dave started The Chappelle Show and in that he played as many different characters like Rick James and R. Kelly and also Prince.

Like it says on wikipedia, he later appeared as a nightclub comedian in the 1996 comedy The Nutty Professor starring Eddie Murphy, one of his major comedic influences. He also had a minor role in 1997's Con Air. He and Neal Brennan co-wrote the 1998 cult stoner film Half Baked, Chappelle's first starring role, about a group of marijuana-smoking friends trying to get their friend out of jail.

The reason why I chose Dave Chappelle is because he influenced me to be the person I am today. If it wasn't for him i would probably be a loner who would not talk to anybody. He helped me become a social person because growing up through elementary and half of junior high school i wasn't funny so used his jokes, and think about no one likes to hang out with someone who is quiet and boring. After using his jokes and made me think of my own and it just never stopped from there. That's why Dave Chappelle is my hero.
