Not often do Belarusian sportsmen take prizes at the Olympic games or other world known events. But if they do, they become Belarusian heroes. And Daria Domracheva, who is now the most powerful woman of the country, is a clear example. She has made a huge contribution to the development of Belarusian sport.
Dasha was born in Minsk in 1986. Her mom and dad are architects, but Daria doesn't follow their footsteps. In 1990, her family moved to Nyagan (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District of the Russian Federation). In 1992, Daria Domracheva went to public school â„–6.
In 1992 begins to resort the skiing club and takes part in the first competition in cross- country skiing. In 1998, Dasha is moved to the school of Olympic Reserve (biathlon). In 2001, Dasha is included to the biathlon team of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District.
She developed her talent every year and sought goals. In addition, her first major international competitions for the national team of Belarus became the World Junior Championships in 2005, where in the first race (individual) became the 40th. After that, she made debut in the World Cup December 1, 2006 (season 2006/07) as part of the 1st stage in Ostersund Sweden in the sprint race, showing the 16-th result. At the beginning of the 2008/09 season regularly, fell into the top ten at the end of the race.
For the first time she became the Olympic champion, February 11, 2014, in the pursuit race at a distance of 10 km at the Olympic Games - 2014 in Sochi.
The record prize has brought the race with a mass start, where Daria made only one mistake. The same day, President Alexander Lukashenko conferred Domracheva the title "The Hero of Belarus"
In the 2014/15 season in the final stage of the World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk for the first time in her career, she won the overall standings and takes the Big Crystal Globe of the season.
Her achievements show that persistence and tremendous effort can achieve any goal. She is my hero because she has proven that it is possible to overcome any obstacles and be the pride not only of your relatives, but also of the whole country, and never give up. People like Daria are an incentive for those who want to be something more in this world.
Daria has reached success and worldwide recognition; she is really the hero of our country. She is an example for all beginners. Everyone has a dream and Darya's success helps them believe that they will also be able to achieve their goals.
