Definition of a Hero
I believe a hero is someone that is a good role model. He/she should set a good example for others, and make someone want to be just like them. A good thing for a hero to do is to put others before themselves and be thoughtful.

Is it Important to Have a Hero?
I think it is very important to have a hero. But I think it is more important to try and be a hero. I believe that people shouldn't look up to someone and be exactly like them as much as they should just be themselves, help others, and act like heroes themselves.

My Hero
My hero is my little sister, Diana. She has a Mitochondrial disease. This makes her life very difficult, but she is so strong and hardly ever complains. She can't do things that are very easy for us. So, if I ever don't want to do something or am complaining, I think of her and how much she has to do. She has to go to the doctors', get IV's, have physical therapy, and go to different hospitals trying to find a cure. Her disease is not common or well-known, so it doesn't get much funding to find medicines that help. She has taught me to realize everything I have, and how lucky I am.

Hall of Fame
Diana should be in the hero hall of fame because she is a hero to many people, not just me. Although she is sick and hurting, she still tries to make others happy. For example, she is at the store with my mom and, instead of asking for something for herself, she asks if she could get me a Twix because she knows I love them. She can't eat a lot of foods herself, and she always has to try these different diets to see if they help. So, if she goes on a diet, everyone else in my house has to go on that diet too. She is so sweet and loves to make everyone laugh. She is my hero.

My Hero's Hero
Diana's hero is Christina, our older sister. We don't get to see her very often, because she is in college now. Christina is her hero because she takes Diana to the park, helps her walk, gives her hugs, watches movies with her, and takes her to physical and occupational therapy. Diana respects her because she is mature and nice to her. Christina also drives her places, like Coldstone. Diana really looks up to Christina.
