Donald Glover is a famous Rapper, Actor, Writer, and Comedian from Stone Mountain, Georgia. He grew up in a poor family, with him, his mother and father, brother and sister, and a number of foster children brought in by his family.

His first notable performances, were with a youtube comedy group, known as Derrick Comedy. Here, he performed several raunchy, humorous videos, alongside some of his friends. That's how he got his name out there. He even made a full length movie with the Derrick Comedy group, "Mystery Team." A movie in which 3 child sleuths grow up, but continue their childish ways, even as they approach the end of their High School careers. They would usually solve mysteries such as missing kittens, and other small time, childish crimes. Though things get complicated when a little girl approaches them, and asks them to solve their biggest crime yet. The murder of the little girls' parents.

Glover's comedy career was just getting underway with the Derrick Comedy group. As i said, it wasn't a very well known movie, but it was still enough to get his name out there. He was hired by NBC to write material for their hit show, 30 Rock. Not only that, but a scout from Comedy Central saw Glover performing stand-up in an underground comedy club, and asked him to do his own episode of Comedy Central Presents.

Since he was a child, Donald Glover had always had an interest in rap music. This came full circle, in 2008 when he released his first rap album, Sick Boi, under his rapper name, Childish Gambino, which he got from a Wu-Tang name generator. This album was followed by Poindexter, I Am Just A Rapper, and I am Just a Rapper 2. Later the same year after IAJAR 2, Glover came out with yet another album, Culdesac. That wasn't enough. He soon after came out with another album, which he called EP. These were all independent albums, and as a result he remained underground. he didn't have a very large following as Childish Gambino, but as usual, the number of fans he has were fairly loyal. Mostly just waiting for him to make it big.

Donald Glover is my hero, because he is living proof that there really is no limit to your potential. There is no stopping you from doing EVERYTHING you want to do. Glover didn't come from a broken home, or a ghetto, or the streets. But he certainly didn't come from any better surroundings than anyone else. Glover, has effectively achieved fame, in several different categories, and multiple forms of media. So no matter who you are, where you come from, or what you want to do, you can do it. And with dedication, there's no reason you have to narrow you life down to one thing. Don't just do one thing you want to do, do EVERYTHING you want to do.
