"Stay strong" are the words she lives by. The words that made her believe again, but are also the words that escaped her when she was in sorrow. They're the words that are even tattooed on her wrist, to remind herself that she is courageous and won't care what people say about her. Demi Lovato (or her birth name Demetria Devonne Lovato) stays strong. She has to be every child's inspiration because she surely is mine. The star of Demi Lovato was born August 20, 1992 in Dallas, Texas. We actually have the same birthday. Every time that it's my birthday I always think of her. She is daughter of Dianna Heart De La Graza and Patrick Lovato. Unfortunately her parents separated and her mom got remarried to Eddie de La Graza, making him Demi's step father. Demi also has two siblings, Dallas Lovato and half sister Madison De La Graza. According to this quote "I don't know where I'd be without my family and there support", Demi is very grateful for her family.
Demi's acting career started when she was just a child, age 10 to be exact. She was an actor on the Barney show. Demetria started the Barney show in 2002. Later in her career she starred in the show "As the Bells Ring. This show was the first time that she had been on Disney Channel. It started airing on Disney Channel in 2007. In 2008 she had also begun to audition to be the lead role in the movie Camp Rock. Not only is Demi an actress but as well a musician. Months later in the year 2007 she got the casting part that she had auditioned for, the main lead, Michie Torres. Later that year she finally released her new and first album, "Don't forget". It was a hit, millions and millions were sold to people all over the world. 2008 was a big year for Demetria because it was also when she became a cast member of a Disney Channel show called "Sonny With a Chance". Soon in 2009 she released her second album, "Here We Go Again" followed by her recent album "Unbroken" in 2011.
In previous years the multitalented Demetria had suffered many tragic moments in her lifetime. For many years she would always put a smile on her face even when she was in sorrow. It wasn't until a couple years ago that Demi decide to let the public know that she had a smile on her face although her life was no smiling matter, she shared with us, the public all the her horrific moments. To start off, Demi never had a father at her side. When her parents divorced her father walked out on her. He never returned her calls, messages, or email. For her father it was like if she was dead, invisible. Demi's father also began to drink and take drugs. Trying to get the relationship up with her father, she recently aired a song named "For the Love of a Daughter". The song talks about how she and her father haven't exchanged words in the past five years and how Demi wants to change that. She has been dreaming for the day to come to finally have a healthy relationship with her father.
Interview after interview, Demi had confessed to the press that she had checked into a rehab institution. Inside of the institution they had diagnosed her to have eating disorders, sleeping disorders and being bipolar. Demi even had conflicts with cutting herself. She claims to say that she would cut herself because she thought she wasn't good enough, and if it hadn't had been for her fans she would still be in rehab. Her eating disorders were indeed a result of Demi's belief of not meeting up to people's standards. Furthermore, Demetria has posted videos on media websites thanking her fans and telling them that she wouldn't have gotten out of rehab in January, year of 2011 if it hadn't had been for their support and dedication. Her experience of rehab has not only made her a stronger character but it also made her focus more on her music.

Therefore, in my opinion, I believe that Ms. Lovato has showed many traits of heroism. For instance getting out of rehab was an act of heroism. It shows that she wasn't going to let one flaw about her life bring her down. She portrayed determination in herself to not care about what people say. Plus, after her "fall down" Demetria would always share her experience with people that were in the same position that she was in. So she was often helpful to other people. What I believe to be most heroic about Demi Lovato is the fact that now she has recovered from many of her illnesses and has made her life a living dream. Her recovery has showed her bravery and her capability. Demetria Devonne Lovato is my hero and in my eyes she "stays strong".
